Community Action: Nourishing Hope

At Countrywide Transportation, our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work lies at the core of our values. Recently, a portion of our team, along with a few family members, dedicated their time to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC).

It's a startling fact that, each year, millions of children succumb to entirely preventable causes like pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, and undernutrition. According to FMSC, hunger continues to be a leading contributor to the loss of young lives, accounting for nearly half of all deaths among children under the age of 5. The data indicates that, on average, at least 6,200 children perish daily due to conditions linked to undernutrition. This reality is nothing short of heartbreaking. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) stands as a beacon of hope in the face of such dire circumstances. Their fundamental belief is that hope starts with food. 

Our collective results:

• 113 boxes packed
• 24,408 meals
• 67 kids fed for a full year!

Our team's decision to invest time and effort in giving back to the communities in which we live and operate is a direct reflection of Countrywide Transportation's enduring values. The day spent at FMSC was both fulfilling and a remarkable opportunity to strengthen the bonds within our team.
